Works perfectly. I use it all the time with Windows PCs.

Brings all the power of my MacBook to my iPad
To use this app. I have been a Real VNC fan since the fancy phone to own was a Trēo. :( But back to the app... its very easy to add machines, remotely control, and its never an issue.
Ive been using this app and the program now for 3yrs and absolutely love it! Living in OH and being on my home computer with no lag on vacation in CA from the Queen Mary was the best! I recommend this to anyone and everyone and i will continue to use this program. Full access to all of my computers function wherever whenever is priceless!
Great program. If you need something like this, its worth the time to try it out. I use it almost daily.
The iPad app and software on the Mac Mini work great. I use the Mini for music storage only and can manipulate the Mini desktop as much as I need to from the iPad touchscreen.
Ive been using this app for over a year, and now I suddenly have to login to a "bonjour" account to use it. Ill find a new application. Deleting this one. Disappointed.
Now you can use something like VR HEADSET and turn your head to see different areas of your screen and and use your computer from bed with wireless keyboard and mouse. Or in the sun when ur room is so cold. WOULD THAT BE GREAT ?? With the help of wireless keyboard and mouse that would be awesome control and of course VR thing. Think VNC developers. Think twice ;)
I use this to access our Mac from an iPhone. It was easy to set up (easier than TeamViewer, which I also tried) and I prefer this UI over all the others Ive tried. You can use it on an internal network via bonjour (not sure what that other reviewer was complaining about) or you can access your Mac via the Internet/cloud method. Both situations eliminate the need to open ports on your firewall/router.
I have used VNC for years and I recently upgraded to an iPad Pro 9.7 from my Air. Big smiles when I tried my Pro 9.7 keyboard and it works great with VNC. My Bluetooth keyboards were always ignored by VNC.
I am always happy to check jobs running on my Mac without walking down two flights of stairs. This is a really useful tool... really useful.
Great VNC client, the controls are very easy and efficient. I knocked off one star because you need to pay for the RealVNC server osx/pc/linux application if you want encryption on the computer your connecting to; it does not support apples built in screen sharing apps encryption.
I use the iPad version to connect to both a MacBook Pro and a Windows 7 box, and it works perfectly every time. It really delivers on its promise.
I have been using VNC for years, both personal and business. Never disappoints. Always works.
I work from home, but gain freedom from my desk to work wherever in my home I please. VNC allows me to work from any room or the patio without unhooking my laptop and dragging it around. I can do just about anything I need to do with my iPad.
When I first got VNC, I thought that the overall experience would be something that would be hard to setup, would cause my iDevice to freeze, & the update rate would be slow. I was blown away by how wrong I was. VNC is a well polished program that utilized my system well, & the corresponding system even better. The screen refresh speed was on the slow side however, but this was probably because I was on a large network with lots of other devices. I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested.
The interface is easy to set up and works very well. It is able to connect in poor signal situations when the older tightvnc will not. Also, the encryption feature is good. The "offset from-your-finger pointer is OK for iPhone. But I would much prefer the "pointer under finger" mode for iPad. My ipad remote keyboard does not work with ios9. Otherwise typing OK. In Ios9, the screen never times out if RealVNC viewer is open. This runs the iPad battery down very quickly.. Also, the pointer following, but not being directly your finger on iPad is quite aggrivating. Also, on my iPad at least, the three finger downward swipe required to cause VNC disconnect is unreliable. It may take 6 to 10 swipes to bring up the disconnect option. But..Overall, it works OK.. ..
Works good for a few minutes and then becomes non responsive. It will attempt to reconnect after a few minutes, just have to be patient. IOS 9.2 with Windows 10 Pro.
There is a glitch where when accessing a computer, it resets the mouse speed on that computer. For instance once I go back to a computer that I recently used VNC viewer with, the mouse speed is changed from what I had. I have it very high and it makes it slow again.
This app works, inexplicably, better than the VNC client built into Mac OS X (Screen Sharing), especially when accessing Windows machines. I love that it supports username and password authentication when connecting to Macs as well. Absolutely no problems so far. Thank you for this!
